Mini Golf Tournament

Today was supposed to be the Mini Golf Tournament, but unfortunately due to HIGH winds and a Severe Thunderstorm warning, we had to pack up at 2:00 and go home. :(

A back up fundraiser is in the works and we want to thank all our sponsors for their prize donations - they will most certainly be handed out!!!

Upcoming drive

August 21 will be the last on site drive for the month of August. We'll be set up in Logan outside Ross Dress for Less(1475 North Main) as well as Down East Outfitters(1050 North Main). If you've got clothes or other items to donate, you can bring them to us between the hours of 10:30 am and 2:30 pm.

It's also a great opportunity if you're finishing your back to school shopping to pick up an extra shirt, pair of pants, socks or whatever to donate to the foster kids of Cache Valley.

We'll also be accepting donations at our Miniature Golf Tournament on August 28th, so don't miss your chance to participate!

Foster Care Resource Center on the Radio

On August 11 Jen Llewellyn, coordinator of the FCRC sat down with Jennie Christensen of Cross Talk on 610 KVNU to discuss more about foster care and the upcoming drive events and miniature golf tournament.

Tee Time!

For the upcoming Foster Care Resource Center Mini Golf Tournament, we'd like to encourage teams of 4 to sign up ahead of the tournament. This will guarantee your group will play at a specific time and keep traffic at the course flowing smooth. Teams can be friends, families, co-workers, double dates or whatever four-some you can round up.

It will be $5 per person to play, but if you sign up ahead of time, get %10 off and your team plays for $18 instead. To register send an email to cachefcrc@hotmail.com!

At the tournament we'll also have food and drink available with proceeds also benefitting the FCRC. So sign up and come spend a fun day with us!

Mini Golf Tournament & Fund Raiser

The finale to all the FCRC events in the month of August will be a Miniature Golf Tournament August 28th at the Renegade Sports Complex located at 1903 South 800 West in Logan (formerly the Celebration Center) 10 am to 9 pm. This tournament is designed to generate funds for the FCRC and to be a drive site for clothing and furniture donations.

We'd like to encourage people to sign up for tee times ahead of the tournament to keep course traffic flowing smoothly. A list of tee times will be posted soon!

Cost to participate is $5 per person and teams of 4 who pre-register by noon August 27th will be $18.

We'll also have food and drink available for purchase with a percentage of proceeds going to the FCRC.

Prizes will be awarded for best score of the day, best golf outfit, and for holes in one - which will be awarded every hour.

So tell your friends and family to plan on attending and supporting the Cache Foster Care Resource Center.

**The mini golf tournament is being coordinated by AmeriCorps*VISTA members through the Center of the School of the future.

Foster Care Resource Center Drive

Throughout the month of August, a clothing and resources drive will be held at several business locations in Logan. While you're out shopping for the new school year with your own children, take a moment and consider the many Cache Valley children in foster care who are needing the same things.

We looking for new & gently used:
Clothing: Kids aged 3 – 12 years, especially stuff for boys
Furniture: Dressers, twin bed frames & mattresses, toddler beds, high chairs, baby swings etc
Baby items: Diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, binkies, burb rags, bottles
Bedding: sheets, pillows, quilts
Toys, books & games
Bikes

Drives will be held 10:30 am to 4 pm on:

August 13 & 14 at Old Navy & Kohl's
August 21 at Ross Dress for Less

Donation boxes will also be available throughout the month at the customer service desks of the drive sites as well as at Macey's, Lee's Marketplace in Logan, and the Logan Library.
